On Saturday September 29, 2007, the above truck was parked outside the Roosevelt Island subway station carrying new escalator treads. My assumption is these were off loaded for eventual installation into one or more of the four (4) escalators currently under construction.
Should we and/or can we take this as a sign that the end is near and we'll be getting at least one of the escaltors back into service soon? Please say it is so ! ?
