Roosevelt Island Day - 2008

The following video is just a short snippet of the sights and sounds of Roosevelt Island Day which is held annually. Due to the rains the evening's concert was cancelled but all in all everyone had a great time. Certainly the kids did.

    This must be the one and only neighborhood event in NYC that offers free food and drinks for everybody. Plus, it was not crowded at all (something you wouldn't find anywhere else either). The ladies who handed out the food, though, could learn to be a little more polite.

    Is there any way to put a little more money into the Roosevelt Island Day and offer some more polished rides and games? The whole thing had this cheap feeling to it.
