This weekend marks the first weekend of 2008 that Roosevelt Island will have subway service in both directions to Manhattan and to Queens. For the last 5 weekends we had to endure with no service in one direction or another.
Did someone pay off MTA NYCTA President Roberts? Did the joint letter from our elected officials asking for increased service convince him to allow us to have one weekend of normal service? Is this a gag because they are going to schedule another 5 weekends of disruptions?
I feel like singing Joy to the World ! Sorry I am getting a bit carried away.
